Sunport Boulevard Extension

The long-awaited completion of the Sunport Blvd. Extension – I-25 to Broadway closes a significant gap in the transportation network of Albuquerque’s busy South Valley. The project included the reconfiguration of the I-25/Sunport Interchange and the extension of the roadway. It improves the overall roadway system by balancing traffic volumes and alleviating congestion and enhances transportation and multimodal connectivity by improving access to economic areas, expanding and improving multimodal facilities, and providing redundancy in the transportation system. Bohannan Huston, Inc.’s comprehensive team of roadway, structural, traffic, surveying, environmental, utility, geotechnical, and construction experts worked together with the client, Bernalillo County, the public, and other stakeholders to provide a safe and complete transportation project.
