The facility where learning takes place is an important key in the learning process. Buildings must be designed to effectively serve the student population with safety, accessibility, modern design, energy efficiency, and enduring operational functionality. Public, charter, pueblo and private schools, universities, and community colleges all need the benefits of professional design consultation as they seek to establish new facilities or expand and/or rehabilitate their existing campuses. BHI has become a trusted partner to school districts when they undertake facility projects. We provide extensive site civil design services such as on- and off-site utilities; water and wastewater systems; drainage; grading; structural design; pedestrian, traffic analysis and roadway design; and construction phase services. Land survey services are often involved as well. BHI has partnered with specialized firms (e.g., architectural, landscaping) and emphasize sustainability in our designs in order to deliver maximum long-term facility value.
Our work is about solving problems, and the more challenging the problem, the more intriguing and engaging the project. From our experience on education facilities in the Southwest, we understand the importance of being able to work under demanding conditions and solve problems quickly. With so many interdependent moving pieces, solutions must be rapidly developed to keep the project moving. BHI’s staff has both the expertise and creativity to devise the right solutions. We take advantage of a broad suite of technological tools to ensure that these solutions are created efficiently and accurately, and can be seamlessly incorporated into the design.
