Bohannan Huston mandates the reduction of waste materials through the implementation of a company-wide materials reduction and recycling program. The use of a professional recycling service and the migration toward a “paperless” workplace has greatly reduced the amount of paper usage.

Our standard office printer paper uses Great White recycled paper for day-to-day printing.

All office supplies are made from recycled materials; 80% of our supplies are made from at least 30% post-consumer recycled materials.

We are participants in printer cartridge recycling programs.

We use high-efficiency heating and air-conditioning equipment.

We support the Journal Center's maintenance of the office grounds with gray water.

We use low-flow, high-pressure toilets at our headquarters.

We encourage energy conservation practices from our employees.

We are also undertaking these additional initiatives:

Reducing energy consumption by delamping (removing bulbs from light fixtures).

Investigating options for xeriscaping on office grounds.

Installing photo sensors on internal and external lighting.

Replacing T-12 light fixtures with T-8 fixtures that have lower power requirements.
