The new 1,650 GPM Booster Station at Tank 8 is a critical piece of infrastructure within the City of Rio Rancho’s water distribution system. The new booster station replaces deficient infrastructure, provides a reliable water source and connectivity for the customers in the region, and supports future growth. BHI analyzed different facility and operational configurations as well as designed the booster station including the electrical and instrumentation components, along with 2.6 miles of waterline, and provided construction administration and observation support. The project was delivered within 30 days of the original schedule and was below the City of Rio Rancho’s original budget. BHI provided innovative solutions to reduce the footprint of the building and facilitate maintenance.
