Nathan Roberts Selected for Water Leadership Institute Program
Congratulations to Nathan Roberts on being accepted to the 2019 Water Leadership Institute. Through a competitive application process, the Water Leadership Institute selected 54 individuals from the United States, Canada, Grand Cayman Island, and El Salvador to learn and network with peers in the water sector. Over the next year, the leadership institute participants will take part in monthly webcast meetings, group discussions, and small group chats about topics such as strength-based leadership and leading, workforce and planning, entrepreneurship and innovation, and issues affecting the water industry that leaders should know. The participants will attend a two-day face-to-face event (June 18 & 19) at the Water Environment Federation headquarters in Alexandria, VA, attend the Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) in Chicago, and participate in the Water Leadership Institute 2019 Workshop in September.
The Water Leadership Institute program is aimed at educating, training, and providing opportunities that enable developing and emerging leaders to build strong, lasting relationships within the water industry. This intensive program allows participants the opportunity to engage in management training and leadership development through a blended learning approach that includes the examination of complex challenges facing the water and wastewater industries and networking with public- and private-sector practitioners.
