Bohannan Huston Announces Leadership Promotions
Effective this month, Bohannan Huston, Inc. (BHI) is excited to recognize three leaders whose work has made a real impact on our teams, our clients, and the continued growth of our firm. Nathan Roberts has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Partner in Water Systems, Josh Lutz to Vice President in Community Development, and Eric Hamilton to Vice President of Transportation and Drainage. Each has earned the trust of clients and teammates alike through strong results, steady leadership and a genuine commitment to building better communities.
These promotions reflect something we value at BHI, growing leaders from within, allowing people to take on new challenges and creating clear paths for professional development. As the company continues to evolve, this approach and promotions like these help us stay consistent in how we serve our clients, while keeping our culture and standards strong.

Nathan Roberts, PE
Nathan Roberts has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Partner in BHI’s Water Systems team. A licensed Professional Engineer in NM, AZ and CO, Nathan supports clients through water system planning, design and construction. He enjoys helping communities make smart, long-term decisions about critical infrastructure. He’s known for seeing the big picture and translating complex challenges into practical, real-world solutions.
Nathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Mexico and has worked in the engineering industry since 2009. He’s active with the American Water Works Association and has participated in leadership and professional development programs within the water industry including the Water Leadership Institute Class of 2019 and Leadership Albuquerque Class of 2023. Nathan has been with Bohannan Huston since 2009.

Josh Lutz, PE
Josh Lutz has been promoted to Vice President in BHI’s Community Development group. As a project manager and engineer, Josh leads civil site development and infrastructure projects from early planning through design and construction support. He brings a steady, collaborative approach and is known for keeping teams aligned while delivering solutions that meet schedule, budget and community expectations.
Josh has also supported complex projects for secure facilities and national laboratory environments, where coordination and attention to detail are essential. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from New Mexico State University in 2016 and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New Mexico. Josh was named an honoree in Albuquerque Business First’s 40 Under 40 class of 2025. Josh has been with the firm since 2014.

Eric Hamilton, PE, CFM
Eric Hamilton has been promoted to Vice President of Transportation and Drainage. Eric is a trusted advisor to clients across southern New Mexico and beyond, with a strong mix of leadership, project management and hands-on delivery experience in transportation, drainage and utility infrastructure. He’s passionate about using engineering to improve quality of life, and he’s known for building strong relationships and leading teams that deliver clear, constructible solutions.
Eric supports projects from concept through design, bidding and construction, with experience in roadway and intersection improvements, pedestrian access enhancements as well as flood control and drainage solutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from New Mexico State University. Eric is licensed in New Mexico and Arizona and is a Certified Floodplain Manager in New Mexico. Eric has been with Bohannan Huston since 2024.
