Engineer 2

Work site: Bohannan Huston, Inc. 7500 Jefferson St. NE Albuquerque, New Mexico 87109

Duties: Participates on a project team to develop construction plan and specification document sets for commercial and residential land development projects. Under the general supervision of a senior engineer/project manager, develops design elements to include drainage master plans, grading and drainage, and utility plan preparation, site plan and paving plans, public improvement plan preparation and Master Plan layout. Verify construction progress via field observations. Acts as primary designer on smaller design projects and assists senior engineers on larger projects through completion of specific tasks. Uses computer to run engineering-related programs (I-SubD and Civil 3D) to solve engineering problems. Prepares project engineering reports, including prepared text, calculations, and sketches. Assists in preparing bid documents, draft contracts, and quantity estimates.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with at least a 3.0 GPA, 2 years of work experience in the civil engineering field, and Engineer in Training (Engineer Intern) Certificate. Full time.
