The Albuquerque Regional Sports Complex (ARSC) sits on 81 acres adjacent to and west of the APS Community Stadium near 98th Street and I-40 on Albuquerque’s westside. The first phase of the state-of-the-art facility includes five baseball/softball fields; a two-story administration building central to the fields with offices, concessions, restrooms, umpire facilities, a meeting room, and press boxes; an open viewing terrace; and adjacent parking. Innovative design features include a tiered field configuration (where two fields sit lower than the other two maintaining great views of the Sandia mountains while reducing earthwork quantities), water quality ponds both upstream and downstream of the facility, portable fencing, synthetic turf, and energy-efficient LED field lights. BHI provided site development, drainage and structural engineering, and survey services, as well as construction inspection support to help make this project a success.
