Alandren Etlantus Receives 2024 UNM Distinguished Alumni Award
We are thrilled to announce that Alandren Etlantus has been named a 2024 Distinguished Alumni by the University of New Mexico School of Engineering in recognition of her outstanding achievements in the Civil, Construction, & Environmental Engineering fields. This honor represents the highest recognition of outstanding lifetime achievement for School of Engineering alumni and highlights Alandren’s remarkable career success and invaluable contributions to the field.
As Senior Vice President at Bohannan Huston, Alandren has had a profound impact on academia and industry. A proud UNM alumna, she has served on the UNM Advisory Board for the Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department, where her leadership has helped shape innovative learning environments and advance the professional community.
In her career, Alandren has led significant water resources projects across the arid Southwest, establishing herself as an expert in addressing complex drainage challenges. She has shared her expertise at national and regional conferences, offering creative solutions to critical water resource issues. Alandren holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from UNM, and she is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Floodplain Manager.
Beyond her technical accomplishments, Alandren is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of engineers and is actively involved in industry organizations such as the NM Floodplain Managers Association and the NM Dam and Watershed Owners Coalition. Her commitment to developing young talent and her leadership within these organizations make her a deserving recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award.
