Originally built as a simple local access point, Exit 102 near Acoma Pueblo has grown into a high-volume destination with a travel plaza and the Sky City Casino Hotel. To accommodate the greater traffic, BHI designed an innovative interchange concept that incorporated roundabout intersections at the ramps and facilitated the efficient movement of traffic. The striking aesthetics were developed in concert with the public and area stakeholders to reflect the native landforms of the valley and the unobstructed blue sky that envelopes the area.
